Family tuition

$100 per family per season—not per child. Fall and spring are enrolled and paid separately. Supplies for enrolled children ages 5–9 are included.

Parents are welcome to stay and may bring additional children. If a younger or older sibling participates in an activity that requires supplies, one additional $25 family activity fee applies.

Age-appropriate participation

Five- and six-year-olds participate through exposure, imitation, singing, observation, tracing, and simple narration. Seven- to nine-year-olds receive deeper memory, map, narration, and discussion expectations while sharing the same beautiful material.

Class-offering notice: Lux is contingent upon teacher availability and sufficient family interest. Submitting interest does not guarantee a place until the family receives written confirmation.

Lux Public-Park Behavior & Safety Policy

Because Lux meets in a shared public park, every participating child and accompanying sibling must help keep the gathering safe, orderly, and respectful.

  • Stay with the group. Children must remain inside the teacher-designated gathering and play boundaries. A child may leave the group only with the child’s parent or guardian, or with the teacher’s permission under the family’s agreed supervision plan.
  • Follow safety directions promptly. Children must stop, gather, and respond when directed, especially near parking areas, streets, playground equipment, restrooms, water, animals, or changing weather.
  • Use safe and respectful behavior. Kind words, safe hands and bodies, and respect for personal space are required. Hitting, biting, pushing, bullying, threats, dangerous play, weapons, and intentional damage are not permitted.
  • Respect the public setting. Families must be considerate of other park visitors and protect park facilities, landscaping, wildlife, and shared spaces. We leave the area clean.
  • Honor the family supervision plan. A parent or guardian who stays is responsible for every child they bring, including siblings. Families who drop off must remain reachable and able to pick up promptly if contacted.
  • Come prepared. Children should bring appropriate clothing, water, and weather protection and should not attend while experiencing a contagious illness.

Behavior response: The teacher may redirect a child, pause the child’s participation, or contact the parent or guardian. A parent may be required to remain with the child or pick the child up promptly. Serious or repeated unsafe, destructive, or disruptive behavior may result in suspension or removal from Lux.
